Employee Spotlight: Neila Watson

 

Neila is a Manufacturing Product Engineer with over three years of experience contributing to both technical and cross-functional projects. She thrives in Energetiq’s collaborative environment and enjoys learning from colleagues across different teams. A graduate of Union College, she has since grown into a resourceful and adaptable professional. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, playing the guitar, baking, and staying active.

What is your favorite part about Energetiq?

My favorite part about Energetiq, which I’ve consistently seen over the 3+ years I’ve worked here, is the culture of collaboration. No matter if I’ve had a technical question or a product marketing question, someone is always eager to help. This has shaped how I’ve grown as a professional. I now make it a priority to be that same resource for others, whether I know the answer right away or can help somebody find it.

What is a fun fact about yourself that somebody may not know?

A fun fact about me is that my cat's name is Atticus, named after To Kill a Mockingbird, and I hope to adopt a kitten soon!

How has Energetiq helped you in your career development?

Energetiq has been instrumental in my career growth. I began as a Manufacturing intern in the summer of 2021, transitioned into a full-time role in the LDLS Engineering department in 2022, and later returned to Manufacturing in 2024. Each experience has given me valuable technical skills, a broader understanding of our products, and the chance to work alongside a variety of supportive mentors.
