Q: Lampy, what do you do at Energetiq?
Lampy: I'm Energetiq's mascot! A reminder of the company's commitment to performance, innovation, and customer ease. I stand for what our technology is built to deliver: bright, stable illumination that's simple to integrate and ready to operate, because a great light source that never stops running!
Q: Where did you come from? What inspired your look?
Lampy: I'm modeled after the compact EQ-99X lamp head, one of Energetiq's most successful Laser-Driven Light Sources (LDLS®). My small, square form is familiar to many customers and partners. It says "high radiance in a tight footprint" and reminds people that a useful light doesn't need to be bulky, or overly complicated.
Q: You're always running. Why?
Lampy: Our customers run around the clock, especially those in the high-thoughput semiconductor industry, and they need illumination that keeps pace. The running pose is a reminder of continuous 24/7/365 operation with minimal downtime, which is what LDLS platforms are built to do in labs and fabs.
Q: Sometimes we see you wearing a blue crown around the office. What is that all about?
Lampy: It is playful, but it has purpose. It highlights a major innovation seen in our next-generation EQX-850 LDLS, a removable crown. Now users can handle maintenance, including bulb changes, directly in their own facility—without worrying about precise bulb alignment or extended downtime waiting for service.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your job?
Lampy: I light up the room! I bring a high level of radiance to the office, keeping the team spirits bright while we stay focused on serious engineering challenges. For almost ten years I've brought joy to my teammates at Energetiq.
Q: How do you describe Energetiq's culture?
Lampy: We combine bright ideas and collaborative teams with innovation, so solving difficult problems for our customers remains a focal point. We value diversity and encourage our teams to bring their whole selves to work. Our commitment is exemplified through our Employee Resource Groups and weekly "Unplug" sessions.
